Did it ever seem like everything you build looks the same. Im starting to feel that way. Any way some input on this site would be great. It seems Blah to me.(Its just the hompage.)

Maybe Im just used to my ridiculous colors.

Hi Troy,

Looks pretty smart to me.

Might want to make the photo colour or the Who, What, Where for a bit of contrast.

Your rollovers are giving a strange effect and the one for Sponsor Us changes to FAQ.

Cheers
Andy

Hi Andy,
Thanks for the heads up on the rollover. I changed the picture to color, well actually back to color. I changed it to B&W because I thought color looked out of place. I guess thats why Im here getting opinions. I think your right, the more I look at it, the color seems to seperate things a bit.

Thanks Troy,

Yep. The color photo sets it off. It would be too blah without it.

Great swish, but personally I'd like to see Welcome and Where right-aligned. (but ...I love your stuff, so I could be wrong there)

I love it!

The little bit of red you've used further down the page really makes it pop, though. Maybe repeat that very sparingly somewhere near the top of the page?

I know you're not finished, but there is some side-to-side scrolling at 800x600.

godshall2,

Hope you don't mind a comment from a beginning web designer. I'm certainly no expert, just opinionated!

I really like this design! It's simple and classy. It's not blah but I agree with you that it could use just a touch more color as accent. Even the color picture seems pretty neutral in color to me. Perhaps a good coordinating color used in the logo, maybe just the Las Vegas part of the text? Then pick up that same color in your navigation buttons by having the text change color on rollover. A lot of what I have seen lately in graphics design for printed ads, and for web design makes use of black and white or neutral colors with a single brighter color for accent.

Thanks everyone, Great Ideas!
Linda, I aligned the text like you had mentioned(Only to the left instead). Sandy I threw some more red up top. I had put in in the swish but thought it was too much, so just put it in that text instead.( Great Idea!)

In addition, what size monitor are you using. I thought all my tables were set to 100%. I don't have scrolling. Does anyone else see scrolling?

Thanks everyone( You might need to delete your temp internet files to see the new Swish, at least I did.)

19" monitor. You've got some table cells in there that are 641 pixels wide. That plus the graphic on the left might be too much?

I like the additional red.

oops! I meant left-aligned... I just can't seem to type and think at the same time today. I'm so glad you were reading my mind instead of just my words.

i know that feeling that everything you build looks the same or getting bored with a deign and wanting to re-design, i fell like that about my sites sometimes as well! BUT DON'T CHANGE IT! just keep getting others to test and test again. remember you'll be getting a lot of new visitors who havnt seen the site yet so it will be fresh to them.
