Hi Linda,

Looks quite smart to me.

A couple of minor points - there's a lot of white space to the right of the logo on each page. looks like there's something missing. I don't know if you could put the menu higher on the page or design some type of page title graphic or use the title you have on the home page.

On the Artistic Profiles page, the text for Daniel Catanach is over to the right and doesn't line up with the rest.

Most of the pages are very text heavy - couldn't you include a few more photos like the one on the home page?

Remember to add descriptive titles and meta tags on each page.

Best of luck with the site.

Cheers
Andy

Good work on your first web. Your viewers will be pleased to see this site.

I recognize the FP theme, but it suits your dance theme well. Maybe as you progress the site, you can work toward lessening the theme features and make it increasingly your own.

On the main page, and sort of what Andy was alluding to, maybe there can be more efficient use of space. If I hadn't scrolled down, I would have missed the Sleeping Beaty graphic and mention (very nice). Your main logo looks very crisp, and I'm glad to see the photo (more?).

The repertoire page was slow to load. The profiles page is neat; I've never seen the use of scroll boxes done like that before - neat!

Consider adding optional navigation (text only) at the bottom of your pages in case people can't access your button navigation.

Glad to see your site! Overall, it looks very nice.

Dea

Thank you both for your suggestions and compliments... wow! compliments for a novice like me, I'm happy! I'll try to improve the site by applying your corrections. I spent some time finding out about meta_tags and inserted them. I agree about the unused space at the top. I was afraid to add more pictures as it would slow the load time, but I'll try it. My first priority is to find out why the site can't be brought up via Netscape ("illegal operation"); it previewed fine for me but no one can get the site in Netscape. Any ideas? Thanks again.

Sure enough, it crashed NN.

Apparently you have used FPs absolute positioning. That may be the culprit. You should use tables for all your layout or write your own css.

See if that corrects the problem. Hope it does.

Thanks Goober. I checked "apply using css" in the theme... is that what you mean? I can remove the absolute positioning, but then I don't know how to place (it ends up anywhere on the page) the caption under the picture on the home page. Told you I'm not savvy... LOL.
