can somebody please give me the quickest definitions of the 2?

1. Adware
2. Spyware

Reason is I've been told i have 1 or the other installed (or whatever) onto my computer. Thanks

Visit http://security.kolla.de and pick up spybot to eliminate adware/spyware from your computer.

Lava Soft Ad Aware is my favorite elimination program. there are free downloads for personal use on the internet, try a google search....

Both arturo and doug give good advice. IMO you need both - they use different algorithms. Quite often one will pick up something that other has missed. Adaware and spybot s&d are free.
