I'm doing a site on my up and coming wedding and I'd like your opinion. Thanks.

Sara,

I had a response almost typed up when I crashed, which was somewhat related to your website.

I love the idea, you will have lots of fun with it, and friends and family near and far will certainly enjoy the planning and updates.

However, I chose to click on the Engagement page after your index page and that is as far as I got. I liked the story by the way, but a couple of problems. First, the text was very difficult to read for me. Secondly, unless a person has the same font you used on their computer, they won't see it as you intend. It is best to stick with the very basics of fonts.

Secondly, I am not sure what you've done with the picture, but at 1.2mb file size, most people will not wait for it to load. You have used a nice display size, but something needs to be done with the photo. Photos usually are best in the jpg format, which yours shows it is a gif, but I think is actually a bmp.

The picture should be about 8-10k in the jpg format, with no loss of quality from how it is now. I've taken the liberty of emailing you a picture that should greatly reduce the load time of your page.

Since I didn't look any further into your site than the index and engagement pages, I am not certain if you have other pictures that would need redone, so you might want to check on them also.

Thank you for the great comments. One thing what did you mean when you said the text was hard to read? Did you mean the font type or size? Thanks.

I meant the font type, which in the HTML tag would actually be 'face'. I see you have used Florentine. I happen to have that one, so I saw it, however many other people may not have it on their pc and would never see it. I like the font you have used on the index page under your picture.

I don't have Florentine and so saw it in my default font which is verdana, and it looked fine and was perfectly legible. Try changing it and see what you think.

you seem to have 2 menues doing the same thing?

also it would be a good idea to have a link back to the main page on all of the sub pages so that visitors dont get lost on your site and have to use the back button.

otherwise, good idea and well presented! are you going to put the stag party pictures on the site!

I made some changes last night and I messed up the menu. There should only be one side menu. And yes there will be pictures of the stag party
