I would agree with the comments about resolution that Sandy made - no one is going to change their resolution to view one page, even if they can and know how to.But your solution to design for one resolution - if I have understood you correctly - is not the answer either - any site, and particularly a business site, should be created so that it is visable and looks OK at all resolutions, screen size, in all browsers and browser versions etc, or at least all the commonly used ones.
While 800x600 is still probably the most common resolution used if you have a look here you will see that it is still just over 50% of internet users: http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp. This sort of proportion would be pretty much universal.
Using a script of any kind to detect browsers or browser resolution or anything else and redirect to different versions of the same site may sound a good solution but is not since it leaves you with two or more sites to maintain and keep coordinated with each other - a logistically very difficult choice.
I like the look and feel you are creating for the site very much but must make one comment. In your orignal post you said:
quote:
you can view the original design of the site here http://www.hdpenetwork.com I think my site looks much better than that crap
While that site would seem to have little content the design is, in my opinion, very nice indeed - clean, clear and attractive. To dismiss someone else's work as 'crap' in this manner is ungracious at best. You may not like it; that does not mean it is bad.
