present web page - 3/25/2001 14:28:00
I have decided that to accomplish what I want, the best approach is for me to learn web page design, but presently I am just learning how to crawl around in FP, a REAL newbie.

I have a web page designed by others for one of my businesses. It is at www.realbirdhomes.com

At this early stage, I would like to be able to move a picture or two and change the prices and other simple things like that.

Other than visual appeal, is there anything else that seems should be done to the site or meta tags that would help a lot?

You have no idea how excited I am about finding your web site!!!

You're off to a good start. Lots of good info and photos here.

For just starting with FP, it'd probably be best to post specific questions in beginners as you have them.

Right click on your images, choose picture properties and fill in the alternate text with a description. This will be seen on mouseover, on loading in Netscape Navigator(often referred to as NN), and as an alternate to the image if someone has there images turned off. Search engines will also check them out.

FP2000 automatically adds the title meta tag down below the FP metas. In html view, you can highlight your title meta, right click, cut, put your cursor under the <head> line and then paste it back in here at the top. Your keyword and description metas should be right after the title. Be careful while working in the html view, as it doesn't allow you to undo work like you can in the normal view.

Check www.searchengines.com for more on keywords and meta tags.
