A client just called and wanted to know why he was getting a 404 error when looking at his site (a work in progress). I looked and got it right away. I looked in 5 browsers on my PC, 2 on my wife's PC and 3 on my Mac and it came up every time. Suddenly he starts seeing his old site, the one his niece built for him a couple of years ago and hosted on an different server. We changed hosting companies over a month ago! I gave him the IP address and the new site came up. If he leaves out the www the new site comes up. If he types in the www, the old site comes up! What the heck is that all about????

Could you guys please check http://www.fernfactory.com and/or http://66.70.3.103 and let me know if you see a really slow loading page with a black background or a green background splash page that links to an entire website? Remember, the site is a work in progress, but it should be green!!! Subsequent pages should have green borders on both sides with his logo banner across the top.

Its green and ferns on both. Just looked at the first page but... I think Im gonna like it!!!

Sounds like the old host (his ISP?) hasn't removed the DNS entries. As long as they point to the old site - that's what will show from anyone within that class of IPs

Looks great, but kinda slow loading. That and I NEVER enter a site that has no content on the "home" page and a enter here link. Geat phot BTW...

Thanks for the input. And Gil, that splash page is at the insistance of my client and against my recommendations. I agree with you completely.
