This is the first time that I have ever used this software, and positioning is driving me mad. Please check out my work at www.a-zequipment.com. Thx.

Lindy,

You need to create tables in your html. Divide your page up into several colums and rows. The way you have it now is allowing text and images to run together.

yep - tables are king! positioning is all about working with tables, but be careful with merging cells, this may mean nothing to you now but ... wait until you do it and then see what it looks like in netscape! (no good) - while merged cells are fine in IE they are best avoided for your netscape visitors

Lindy,

You may want to consider placing the links to the other pages of the site in the left hand column (or may be the top row) of the tables(if you choose to use tables). They seem to be a bit lost at the bottom of the page.

Also include ALT text for the images to say which store they are, the images could probably be ok if they are slightly (75%) smaller, including those for the Suppliers.

Thanks Phil

Hi Lindy.

Yes, tables will help tremendously. And when you get to it, if you have the need, there should be no problems merging cells. I do it all the time. The key, as in all other aspects of web design, is to be sure you test constantly in both Netscape and IE as you are building your site.

You could stand to make everything on your page smaller, not only linearly (is that a word?) but in file size as well. It is taking forever to load. You need to optimize/compress your graphics.

It would be wise to include some sort of navigation near the top of your page, and you need to keep navigation consistent throughout your site...same place...same links.

You have a good start. I would recommend giving the suggestions given so far some attention, then resubmitting for another critique.

Hope this has helped.

Sandy
