my new photo site - 4/2/2001 14:21:00
I've tried to keep all images small, and I've been a bit different this time and gone for an all image site - no real text ... and the links are hotspots. And yes it's small on purpose (film size x10 in pixels 360x240)comments, critism, ideas, loves, hates, feedback ... all much appreaciated ------------------ ___ cap travel image portfolio http://www.chris-laker.co.uk

I like it, the set up is different. I don't think you are giving your work enough credit by diplaying the pictures so small. I think it should be MUCH bigger. Keep up the good work.topnoch

I love the look of it, but here is my two cents - I hope you don't need a lot of traffic from search engines because sites that are all graphics with no text to read generally don't do that well with the engines. - The underlines are confusing (navigation and bio). On the web, usually anything that is underlined is an indication of a hyperlink. This is not the case here. Maybe remove the underline, enlarge those fonts and underline the actual links themselves. See, I told you! It was only worth 2 cents! ------------------ <thanks> Nancy </thanks>

thanks both of you... and yep - is a first for me: having a non-text site, as I decided this one was to be a bit different (hits to come from directory listings instead - fingers crossed) ... take your point about the underlines too - I thought that about someone elses site the other day - and then silly me did it myself I went for tiny size to keep it 800x600 happy and faster loading the graphics (and to look different). This is one of a partnership of 3-4 photo sites I'm planning - with the lead having the text and the leads/links <i> et al </i> thanks again ------------------ ___ cap travel image portfolio http://www.chris-laker.co.uk

Hmmmm. Your intentions for this site make all the difference. If it is primarily an art site, it is wonderful! If it is primarily a business site, you've got some problems, mostly with navigation, having to always "back" off a page to get to another area of your site.It is very creative. Good luck with it! Hi,I like the look of the site but got lost on what photos (very smart by the way) I was viewing - I think some form of navigation is a must. Cheers Andy ------------------ Internet Business Solutions S.L. (Spain) Dreamweaver Users Forum

okay - thanks for the navigation hints ... you can actually use my name bar CHRIS LAKER at the top as a back button, and there are > and < hotspots in the portfolios for navigation in there. But I guess I missed there as I thought it would be obvious. Anyway, I'll make some changes - underline the navigateable text - probably tomorrowthanks for your feedback people ------------------ ___ cap travel image portfolio http://www.chris-laker.co.uk
