Affaird to ask!!!! - 4/3/2001 20:43:00
Well I'm new here and my first time on the forum. I did a website to promote the golfing in Florida. I was also just trying to pick up a few $$$ by trying to get a few advertisers on the page, (not much success there), I work full time but wanted to at least try something. I'm new to this and built the page last winter. I myself think it is a bit dull, since seeing some of your sites. Would appreciate your comments, and definitely any suggestions.

Thanks in advance,
Ed

Hi Ed,

I think the site looks fine - nothing to be afraid of

I'd make a couple of changes, 1st I'd get rid of the Microsoft button and best viewed at info as well as the Fp2000 link - just clutters up the page a bit. I'd stick to the same font colours throughout the site - mainly black and maybe highlighting in green. I think each page should have a complete menu rather than just a home link and have this repeated at the bottom of the page in text.

Best of luck of with it.

Cheers
Andy

hey, as a first effort, I'm impressed!

I'd just tidy it up a bit, try either to put less on each page or organise the info a bit (perhaps in a table)

and I agree with the naviagtion comment from above ... at the moment I've just added 6 hits to your counter becasue I came back to your homepage five times!

remember ... critique is a vital part of design!

forgot to say - love the golf ball instead of the arrow!

(and it would look better with a smaller font size all over)

Well done, especially for a first attempt. It just needs a little fine tuning as mentioned above.

The only thing I have to add is that on the Golf Courses links pages, you may want to add something to let people know the information will be added soon (unless you are planning to add it right away?). Either that or leave the link off until the content is ready. I didn't know if there was a problem with the page, or just no content until I checked the code.

Good job!

I'm just interested to find out (without first actually loading it onto my PC) what the point of Comet Cursor is? Does this really enhance the usability of your site?

Comet Cursor just changes the users cursor to what you want them to have. Quite pointless really and it requires a download, so it's not worth the free sign-up IMO. Comet Cursor also slows down the loading of your site considerably.
