Creating nav buttons on an image - 9/12/2003 22:01:23
Hi,

I created a nav bar as an image( http://www.ihost-websites.com/charles/index3.shtml) but would like to know how to create rollover images on it (I use FW)

Cuurently I tried a hotspot on the home nav link which works but one doesn't see a change when hovering over it.

How can I accomplish the hover effect using swap image behaviors or CSS?

Thanks,
Herman

You would need to "slice" the image so that each rollover button is its own image... that way you can apply DHTML or JS rollovers to it and it will work...

You "put the image back together" by dropping each piece into a table with cellspacing and cellpadding = "0" (so there are no visible "seams")

Kind of like a puzzle... only different...

You can do the same with CSS layers instead of a table, but it's far more complicated...
