If you've been using Front Page, don't panic.

Open FP, Open web - do not select local web, instead type URL of your web site (http://www.example.com).

Enter your username and password when prompted.

Once you have the web open live simply select Publish and put in a path to your local PC (c:\frontpagewebs\examplesite if it's disk based or http://localcomputername/examplesite if it's a local web)

The publish routine will safely place all of your files back onto your PC. Don't forget to close and then exit from your live web when you've finished.

If it's not an FP web, I'm not sure - can you open it live and ftp it back?

uh, woof? Please only post a question in one forum. It gets really confusing otherwise, and wastes time in having the same question answered multiple times.

Sorry,
But as you know, when you are desparate for a solution to a problem, you want an immediate answer, so i posted in more than one place, sorry.
Anyway, problem solved now.
