I was just about to log off and have my dinner!

What point are you getting to when it fails?

Is FP installed correctly? Can you create a new web on your local PC?

Are you typing the correct URL for your live web site?

Try and give me some more information - I'll come back in about half an hour!

I don't think I am going to be able to sort your problem out - perhaps one of the moderators can help?

But just to treble check - and to help those that will hopefully pick this up.

You're connected to the Internet using the right ISP?
You've started FP?
You've gone to File | Open web?
You've got Web Directories set in the "Look In" Box?
You've typed your full and correct URL in the Folder Name field including the http://www. ?
(You're absolutely sure you're not typing in the URL of a re-direct page or such like?)
But you're not getting the dialogue box to enter your user name and password?

Can you actually access the live web site via your browser?

Finally - and entirely up to you - do you want to e-mail me (or one of the moderators) your user name and password and see if someone else can open your site?

Trying hard here, but not sure I'm going to sort it out

P.S. I have posted this thread into the Intermediate / Advanced Section as I don't think we're getting many visitors here in the Site Critiques topic!

Keep the thread going there:

Good luck!
