There is really no way to do it except test, test, test.

Aside from anything else you are talking about multiple versions of both IE and NN, and then there are Opera, Mozilla and others like Safari to consider. And the same browser can behave differently on a Mac and Windows, not to mention on Linux.

Making an exhaustive list would be very difficult, that points out most of the major pitfalls, after that testing is all that will work.
