Vince from Spain -> Menu Beta Test (4/23/2001 20:19:00)

Hi Everyone,
we are starting to beta test the second in the line of the "Menus from Spain" series. If any of you could take a quick look and tell me if you see any problems I would be very grateful. We would especially love to hear if it works ok in IE4 if anyone is using that, and any Mac browsers, but all comments welcome.

Thanks all

I'm on a DSL connection and it took quite a while to load.

Hi and thanks for the reply . . .
Do you know roughly how long it takes for you? It does use images, but I am on a 56K line and it takes me under 10 seconds for the menu to load fully.

All the best

Awesome navigation bar! It looked extremely nice. Took a milisecond to load. I'm on cable though!

Tell me when it's finished, cus I would want to go there!

Hi Vince.

I'm sorry, but I can't open it in NN 4.7. I keep getting a message that there's a JS error.

I need this menu!

Sorry, I stopped the page load after 20 seconds on my T1, using IE 5 for Mac.

Hi All,
thanks to all of you that gave it the time to have a look. I have made a couple of adjustments, like, err, I had only optimised the first 2 images, and the rest were 256 color gif's.
It is still not going to be the zippiest menu in the world to load as it is based on graphics, but hopefully this will bring it into the realms of acceptable. Anyway, if any of you have the chance to look again I would be most grateful.
Goober, I'm looking into it and thanks.
