Snap to what grid? - 9/23/2003 14:08:11
FP 2002 has the nice 'Drawing' features as in 'Word'. In word, by default, drawings (e.g., boxes) all snap to the invisible grid - the size of which can be adjusted. I need to lay out several hundred boxes in FP, so need them to line up neatly. However, despite a 'snap to grid' option being available in the Drawing toolbar, nothing happens and, as far as I can see, there is no bl**dy grid! Nothing available in the FP help apart from silly talk about inserting a table. Anyone got the answer, please?

FP isn't a word processor like Word, so the same rules do not apply. There is a tutorial available on the OutFront site, just follow the "tutorail" link at the top of the screen to get started using tables. How are you drawing boxes on your page? Swirl

This is actually for a client of mine who wants to re-create his family tree (already done as jpegs on his website) in FP so that, a) it is more easily altered and, b) you can search for a name. Boxes are being drawn using either Text Box or the rectangle tool then joined up flowchart fashion using the line tool. To have to manually line them all up is time comsuming.
