Internal Links - 10/1/2003 17:19:55
I recently read a topic (sorry - cannot recall where!) which implied that Search Engines do no like lots of internal links on pages. This concerns me because in an effort to make it easier for vistors I have a links bar at the bottom of my pages as well as at the top.
I'd appreciate any thoughts. Perhaps I was interpreting the topic wrongly but am desperately trying to work out why I've been dropped from Google so am clutching at straws and trying to recall what changes I have made.

Don't worry about your internal links. Just create a site that is easy to navigate, don't put your links in javascript - and you will be fine. Unless your doing something nuts, like linking each page of a 200 page site to every other page on your site, you will not receive a penalty for internal links (and likely no penalty anyhow other than the search bot not going all through your site).
