pimpernel Posts: 55 Joined: 6/17/2003 Status: offline	Is Wordart classed as an image? - 10/4/2003 12:02:59 Well I suppose the subject says it all. For search engine purposes I am curious whether my web page heading (done in FP wordart) is classed as an image - so does it needs alt tags? Thank you

If you check the code for the wordart you'll see a line like this quote: src="default_files/image008.gif" alt="Redvers Clark" Note that the alt text is already there though it doesn't show in IE (IE doesn't see an image there if you right click on it either). In Mozilla, if you check the properties of the image by right clicking you'll get a message box like this Note that it shows the alt text for the image. Opera recognizes that there's an image there but doesn't show the alt text. Been puzzling about this all day - as I couldn't remember adding the alt text and thought I'd gone mad.
