?Vince - advice re drop down - 5/14/2001 20:16:00
Two queries - be grateful for help.

I want to put 'drop down menu' (which is great) on all pages but worried it will take too much updating if I change something and have to change it on every page. Linda suggested using 'include page' but presumably I would need to use two (the second for the script that goes just before the clsoing body tag.
a) would this work, and
b) would it stop the menu overriding the style settings on the original page in Netscape. (things like text size and hyperlink colour.)

Hi Janet,
I think Lindas idea is a great one, and that should work. I don't think it will fix issue b), but I have just emailed you a new version of the menu that should resolve this, and should resolve a problem where the menu could not be seen in netscape navigator under certain circumstances.

All the best

Vince

Many thanks Vince. I shall have a play over the next day or two and let you know how it goes on.

And - just for the record - I'd recommend your Drop Down menu to everyone - I'm a real newbie at this sort of stuff, and it was very straight forward to customise to match my site (and great after sales service too!) If anyone wants to see what it looks like ...

Thanks again.

After a few glitches I now have my menu working on every page (except the MPs ones which are temporary.) If anyone wants to see it

Aaargh! Spoke to soon - I've 'broken' it in Netscape AGAIN! I HATE Netscape - back to the drawing board!
