"There may be broken links on these pages, This is because their site is...unavailable. "

I'd get rid of this statement and any links that currently aren't working.

Hi Robert,

One thing I would think about is what your visitor sees before scrolling or leaving - on your pages you have the banner, a big title, 2 or three other titles and the menu - all the content is out of view for someone at a reloution of 800 pixels or less. First impressions are most important, making the viewer want to scroll to read more - at a quick glance the visitor could miss all your stuff - I'd rearrange it so the content moves up, the banner title is smaller and fewer titles.

Just my opinion though......

Cheers
Andy

Thanks Linda... What the broken links messege is for, is that I have have found after many months... that many airports in foreign lands go off line for hours, up to days at a time( their servers go off line etc.) then then come back up. I don't want to remove them because it is only temp.out of service!I have removed the broken links, only to have to put them back up!I've spent hours a day checking links only to find them back up later ( what a lot of work!)

Thanks Andy... Do you think that the point you mentioned is only with the front page?
I'm going to review it now...

Thank you both so much!!!

OK, I made some more changes...
One problem is that the freeservers banner takes up a lot of room, but this is a free info site, and althought it would cost me only about $7.00 a month to remove the banner... last week I only had 9 hits on the site, I'm having a difficult time getting a good position on the search engines because there many travel sites... I don't want to remove the banner until the hits pay for it through my affilates programs...Which may be never, See what I mean?

OK bye for now...

Hi Robert

The changes you made look a lot better. I'm not crazy about the gray you've used for your site. It's just my personal opinion, but it seems a bit cold and unfinished. I'd maybe use a soft blue. #6699CC is a good one and should mix well with your links, and graphics.

Good luck

Hi Robert,

I think that looks better - good suggestion by Swirl as well for the bg color.

This page has horizontal scroll http://flyinglink.com/us.html

As for more hits - add meta descriptions and keywords to all your pages. You can also move the banner up a tad by setting your margins in the body tag to zero.

Cheers

OK, thank you very much... I've copied and saved all of your tips and instructions into
notepad. I'm going to go try out the hex color code right now and see how it looks!
OK bye for now...
OK i'm back Holy socks Swirl... are you sure that's the correct hex code? It's a mind blowing green on my monitor!

I don't know what happened... I took the code off, and put it back and it was blue this time! The color is on the firsr page now...

I figured out why the hex code was green... I had placed 2 # signs in front of the code!
DUH!
