Site-in-Progress Critique - 5/20/2001 17:19:00
Pease take a look and give comments/suggestions re: general design. I'm moving next to content, so there is no content or meta tags at this time. Thanks, Mike http://www.agilecor.com

Hi - I'm not a fan of the colors - on my laptop they look real dark and I have it set at its brightest. Desktop ok.I see you have a cell set at 1025 - <td width="1025" bgcolor="#000000" colspan="3" ... Won't that cause horizontal scrolls on my dinky 800x600 machines? I didn't see it yet but wonder if it's because there's no content in the body cell Also noticed one row doesn't add up - TD's 20%, 50% and 50%. The left nav area seems pretty wide to me. I took a peek in Netscape - margins all around. Don't forget to add your margin tags to get rid of them. Sorry to be so critical. Hope you find something useful and forge ahead!

Millie:Thanks for the input. I'm new at this, so critique doesn't hurt. How do you add margin tags for Netscape? I'll check my width settings. I'm trying to make it so that widths are 100%, so it will strech with the size of the screen. Regarding the left side-bar, it's 250 pixels. MSN's (and most of the pages in this outfront site) side-bars total 300 pixels, 150 on each side. I can't use a right side bar with my shopping cart unless I use frames, which I don't want to touch. I agree that I need to at least make it appear narrower. Thanks for your help.

In the BODY tag, add topmargin="0" leftmargin="0" BOTTOMMARGIN="0" RIGHTMARGIN="0" MARGINHEIGHT="0" MARGINWIDTH="0"I got that info here at the forum. Someone else told me it was overkill, that the left and top were all you needed but this has been working for me. I see what you're saying about Outfront having 150+150=300 but on a small screen like I use, if it was 300 together it would overtake it. Good Luck!

Hi, Mike -I think I'm going to like it, but it's hard to say without the rest of the content in there. I didn't see the 1025 width, so either I'm missing that or you've fixed it. I got the cascading menu at: http://www.webdevelopersjournal.com/articles/cascading/menus.htmlI have not developed it further because I can't get it to just flow out of my left "include". I don't think that it works in Netscape. Mike
