Why doesn't my other pages print? - 10/9/2003 12:48:53
I created a gallery with lots of pictures so I could print out samples etc
My Dad thought it would be useful to do class lists of his students with it.
We set it up and it works on the first page but subsequest pages failed to print
The page is at www.stuweb.co.uk/d3.htm
its only rough at the moment but why only the first page?

I dont have the answer for you on this as I am a total beginner. I did look at your stie, and the pictures aren't showing, or have you just not placed them yet?
Have you tried a google search for your answer? Sometimes I try the google search to see if I can find anything out or I use my coopernic search engine with a list of tutorials for what it is that I am looking to do.
Maybe if you tried a search on css printer styles? That might bring up somethng for you.
So sorry I couldn't be of more help to you.

No I didn't post the pics as its the layout that the problem. If you do a print preview the first page appears fine however the second page doesn't really do the job
(500 pics, on two pages)

Hi Stuey:
I see what you mean. I went into print preview and for me at least it is only just giving me the first page to preview.
Whenever I preview a page to print it usually gives me up to 5-7 pages depending on how much information is on the page, Oh, and the first page did print just fine for me as well. top of page says, floating page page 1 of 1.

Hey Stuey, not sure since I don't know anything about all this, but just a guess, do you think if you didn't have everything as "float" that maybe the pages would print?

the float thing is the thing that makes the page so good though. Its done so it all wraps around on the screen
eg. on 1024x768 you get about five across, on a PDA you can get them all in teh vertical column. Its a bit of use write once and use kinda thing.
I've found some articles on the alistapart website but haven't actually found a solution.
I found a pretty funky css-mailing list and I have posted their too but I suppose I'll have to wait 24h beofre getting a good reply
I'll post back once I have more
