I'm sorry - I waited over a minute for it to load (at 128K) - that's about 3 times what I would wait if it wasn't here- and left.

It took me about 30 seconds on a 26.4. The hover buttons needs to go. They look nice but are nothing but trouble. I suggest mouseovers instead. Take a bit more work, but it's worth it in the end.

You need navigation. People won't go to the homepage everytime they want to go to another page.

Other than that it looks good in IE 5.

The lack of navigation on every page is what I noticed. Also the font color was hard for me to read on the black background.

Here's a link for a mouseover generator; http://www.builder.com/Programming/Kahn/012898/

Make 2 images for each link, one "off" an one "on". You can achieve the same effect as the hover buttons but they'll react quicker and the pointer will change to a hand when moused over.

Good luck with it!

You may have improved things somewhat since the other reviews were posted but I found the load time to be about 25 seconds at 56k.

I do agree with the comments about improving navigation.

Thanks, folks! Over the next couple of days I will work on the navigation and the load time! I appreciate the feedback.

The very top priority for this site is to install a navigational menu, first and foremost. Have the navigation menu on every page. You could do something as simple as a single column table with menu choices in it or get fancy with javascript or DHTML. One approach to having a menu on every page is to add a shared border for all pages with a menu on that border, then you have only one page to update when making navigational changes.

The hover buttons are apparently causing the long load time- it took almost 30 seconds on my DSL connection. Hover buttons are generally viewed in a dim light in these forums- they're finicky and prone to problems. Redoing your navigational structure, like I mentioned above, will squash that bug :-)

The site appearance-wise, looks great! Looking forward to your navigational solutions ;-)

ooops! I see the words for the navigation, but they are not linked. It would be good to also have navigation at the bottom of each page.

It is a good idea to keep the font and color the same throughout the site.

I really like the header. The pictures are great...but did you optimize/compress them to reduce file size?

Best wishes,
Sandy
