A complete UPGRADE, please critigue - 10/20/2003 14:24:40
Ok, I just completly redid my website hopefully making it a bit more proffessional looking. I still hope to get comments on the layout, structure and design. We curely would like to get good and bad feedback. We would also do the same for you.

Yes, we know the banner thing is not very nice. Just let it stay running in the backgrond until you exit.

In advance, Thanks!

Loads reasonabkly fast on my modem. Slightly too wide for 800x600. The menu's would look better if they didn't resize when the mouse is passed over them. Otherwise, a good design. Good luck with it.

Thanks Nick fr the input.

I thought for sure my site was perfect for the 800x600 res. Darn!

We are still hoping to get more feedback from other web-designers. Please, take a look.

Ah, I remember this site - you've made some good improvements, my compliments. One thing that I would change if I were you is how the links at the bottom and top nav bar behave. The colour change is good, I would leave it at that If I were you. At present when you mouse over the links the font changes to italics also - the problem with this is that it means that they shift slightly. There are two disadvantages to this:

1. It is visually disconcerting.

2. Much more importantly from your point of view it can make navigation somewhat more difficult for those with motor disabilities using either specialised pointing devices, or indeed the normal kind.

Some other points:

I think your main content might be a little hard to read for some people there is not quite enough contrast - I would somewhat lighten it if I were you.*

If you go here: http://www.meyerweb.com/eric/tools/color-blend/

You will be able to create a pallete of up to 10 shades of blue (or any other colour)

This place has a good online colour schermer:

http://www.colorschemer.com/online.html

Finally the medical informatics company Inetia have a good (free) eyedropper app to copy a colour code from the screen to the clipboard from where you can paste it into your code.

http://eyedropper.inetia.com/

Click on the British flag icon if you can't read Slovene :)

Finally may I wish you success and hope that the expected twins arrive safe, happy, and on schedule

* added later - I'll do posting on this in the CSS forum I think also - I'm thinking about diabetics here. With diabetes eyesight varies dramatically depending on blood glucose levels...sometimes a daibetic will need massive text, sometimes they have "normal" eyesight.

added still later :-) link to posting in css forum:

I have a dial up modem and it went very fast. I found the layout very pleasing and enjoyed reading the site itself.
