I was really torn between number 1 and number 3 All three were gorgeous, but I voted for number 3 - it seemed crisper and easier to use. Thanks for all your opinions folks - it's up to KBISA now to take them on board and make a decision. This site is being made in conjunction with a local radio show and the deal is that it will be available to all and sundry to see while it is in construction. Katherine, you and Gorilla might understand this more than some others because it has nothing whatsoever to do with this forum. I wish our bagpipe band had come in one one one one on saturday at a competition in Chicago..... We had to settle for a two two two two to our closest competitors with whom we've had an up and down battle for the top spot for the past few months. On the subject of this thread...very nice site....will keep tabs for some good ideas.

Go Bill's band!! Though I have to say that I kinda concur with the old definition of a gentleman as someone who can play the bagpipes but doesn't! I think it is because I find it hard ot forget the occasion years ago when my Mother told 3 scotmen who were staying as my guests in our house (it's a long story!) that she had never heard the bagpipes live. Och aye, the pipes can be a bit overwhelming in closed quarters. I have played Amazing Grace however, in a kitchen.... more as a statement of the meal prepared there than one of music. I saw and heard the Western Australian Police Pipe Band a couple of weeks ago. They played a calypso version of Amazing Grace... it was fabulous....they even marched to it... the crowd loved it. Nice bunch of blokes too.... Well, I see this thread has turned more into a Lounge thread.... PS. thanks for the cheers for the band. Considering a lot of things we could be called, and a lot of things we have been called.....piper seems quite nice. Seriously, piper is the correct term. We do a lot of weddings, and funerals....and a lot of parades. In between, we compete with other pipe bands.....no time for work... Andy from Spain, I forgot about your UK roots....you can understand all this stuff...
