Does the company provide instructions on their site? Have you tried asking them what you are supposed to do with the file(s)? Swirl

Hi, thanks for taking the time to reply. I have tried but have got no assistance. I know a little ASP html but virtually nothing on xml. I need something (like example scripts that read from an XML file) that I can learn from to develop my understanding and own solutions from. Any ideas? thanks Zaphod

It is hard to say with out knowing what you are trying to do. Are you trying to extract the info from the files? Is this a webservices app?

Go XML all the way. It is so much more superior to a csv file that comparing them is not even fair. That said, there are places where it *may* be easier to use a text file, but why not use this opportunity to learn a new (to you) technology? XML just takes some getting used to... it is not difficult at all. Try this site: http://www.w3schools.com/xml/default.asp There are also some excellent XML books available.
