Hi all, any advice or comments you can give on the early direction of this site would be appreciated

Hi, Shaman!

I don't think you're gaining anything by using frames. Let me know if you want to see an article about the pitfalls of frames.

From an aesthetic point of view, too, the scroll bars are unsightly.

I really like the buttons, but the Electric Dwarf graphic looks blurred. I see what you were trying to do, but I have to look really close to see the effect. I believe I'd exaggerate it a little more or do away with it.

Is the slide show supposed to be operational, yet? It's not working for me.

The colors are certainly dramatic and fitting with the company name.

I'd like to see what it looks like without the frames, and some text in place of the product page such as would be displayed on the home page.

Best wishes,
Sandy

Two more cents. Great colors.

I agree, the logo looks blurry although it isn't really.

I think the interspersed Greek or Cyrillic letters is a bit much.

And I agree about the frames... very distracting AND unsightly.

Couldn't get any links to work but I think the page got stalled here at the office due to the web police.

Looks pretty good in my simple opinion, can't wait to see what else is available at your site.

Yea, I'm definitely going to ditch the frames thanks.

And no the slide show doesnt work yet and neither do any of the buttons.

And about the logo.. You don't mean the image quality right? You mean the logo itself looks to be cramming too much in to a small area or something? You think I should simplify it?

Thanks for the tips guys, and I'm still listening for more.

Also what resolutions are you guys viewing at? Thanks.

The image quality of the graphic is superb. It looks like you have a lighter/fainter/transparent layer a little bit larger than the letters. Instead of looking like an "echo" it's just enough bigger and lighter to make it look like a blur.

I'm using 800x600.

Hi i looked @ it using opera. res = 800*600

It's actually one of the few sites with a dark background that I could read easily and liked. Great design But I agree with Bill about your use of characters - then again they do have a certain quirky appeal.

Lovely Graphic does look a bit blurred 'though.

Don't forget to forget to give your pages titles!

Great design!

Is it the purple echo layer that is irking you guys?

For some reason I can't see the blurriness (maybe because I've been looking at it for so long or something).

Heres a blown up version of the logo that may help you describe it a little better

Wow, thanks for that bigger version. It doesn't "irk" me, but looking at it I see that the purple shading that seems to fade, causes a funny sensation on my eyes. I can literally feel them contracting and reacting to that blurry sensation. The yellow letters and the purple swooshes are crystal clear, but that shading, although very beautiful, really makes my eyes jump through hoops...

Not sure if it's pleasant or disturbing.

I believe that's the heart of it though, the shading and fading of the purple behind "ElectricDwarf".

Just one dude's opinion.

Yah - Bill's right - it's an amazing graphic - irked, etc wrong words - it's just that the, can I call it your "shadow layer"? Makes it hard to focus on - it's visually a little disconcerting rather than irritating - It is gorgeous and really works. Just a little tweaking would bring it up from 95% effective to a 100% really
