I presume you're talking about here!

http://www.doctorhomework.com/

I looked at it using opera and internet explorer.

First impressions:

Moderately fast site - got a nice clean look.

The positioning of your graphic so close to your navbar is a bit disconcerting they overlap - try increasing the space a bit.

You're using the space bar a lot for alignment - this is a big no no - use the alignment dialogue boxes instead. Consider using a transparent gif if you need to hold a cell open.

Members page:

your script is showing up - is it one you pasted in from elsewhere in normal view? Looks like it. Go into html view and you'll see that it's before everything else even the <html> element. Cut it and paste it in html view and that will solve that problem.

Search page: - How exactly do I pose a question? You need to make it very clear what that page is for to search for contacts - a "what this page is for and how it works" on that page would be very helpful.

Overall? - I like the concept - I like the look - you're being very ambitious - I like that too

Some of the writing is a bit "clunky" - go for short sentences in the active not the passive voice.

For example:

The Doctor's database consists of people that come from a diverse background of educations, in the hopes that variety will give you the best possible means to answer your question.

is very unclear do you mean that your database lists people from educationally diverse backgrounds?

Summary: Very ambitious attempt at a great concept. I can see that a fair bit of thought has gone into it - you're actually much closer than you think - good luck with it.

Hope this helps :-)

Wow. Gorilla, as usual, has a very constructive and intelligent critique. Best bet is to follow his suggestions.

This will be a tough act to follow, so I'll lean on my less-than-expert view of things.

My first impression is that the site is VERY professional.

Here comes the "but"... it also looks very sterile to me.

I know, that might be kind of nit-picky, but I'd like to see some color in there somewhere. Something to ..ahem... liven it up a bit. Doesn't have to be bright, just something to cut down on all that white.

I looked at it in IE, and everything seemed to line up ... looked pretty smart to tell you the truth.

And I REALLY like the idea of your site. I hope it is very successful...who knows, I might even have need for it one day.

Good job...and good luck.
