Are my images slowing the page to much? - 6/28/2001 20:07:00
Please take a look at: http://www.agilecor.comThe left side is an include. Do the button images cause the page to load to slowly? I could probably reduce total image size (kb) by about 40%. Would that significantly help? Images make up about 22k. Is that too much? I have a 1.5M cable connection, so it seems fast enough to me. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike Rischard

I am on an ordinary phone line with a 56k modem and it loads fast for me, no problems. However any reduction you can acheive is always worth going for. ------------------ Katherine InKK Design LinKKs - Kilkenny's Online Magazine -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* "Dogs have owners, cats have staff!"

Loaded fine for me under opera but i'm on a fast connection.to get a good idea of speeds get webspeed from: http://www.tafweb.com/ its free and its wonderful - just point it at a page or a graphic and let it tell you, far more accurate than frontpage's own estimates and it lets you set a "congestion factor" eg: Sunday morning and 5 million teenagers log on to the net simultaneously to discuss the party lastnight and why they hate school. speed speed speed is always good remember the average surfer gives up after 15 seconds. ------------------ Hope this helps :-) Gorilla aka Mark Saunders http://www.computerdriving.com Email Address: marksaunders@techie.com ======= "Gotcha!" Thanks for your help. This site will give you graphic options smaller than the ones used in your page, about 50% smaller than I can seem to get out of PaintShopPro 7.0. http://www.netmechanic.com/toolbox/html-code.htm
