Hi

Can anyone please take a look at this site and tell me what you think? The database isn't up yet, but everything else works

Thanks so much

Oh I know it doesn't fit on a 800 by 600 moniter. I fixed that but it has not been uploaded yet.

Thanks

Patty

Nice look - fixing the width will help. What's supposed to be in the upper left corner? I see a blank square and a funny looking icon?

Its a flash thingy. Is it not working?

My firewall doesn't allow ActiveX, so I onlt see flash that doesn't use ActveX. Isn't there a ALT. for flash?

Gil -

I don't think you can specify an alt for a Flash. Can you see this one?

Patty - I'm not crazy about gradients because they never seem to turn out smooth enough. I like the light to dark thing, but I'd suggest possibly trying something else. If you can smooth it out a bit and then overlay a pinstiping on it, maybe that would work? Just ideas.

Liked it - just a thought - the flash thingy is effective. I wonder whether it's a good idea to have it on every page though. For example if someone is reading your services page do you want them distracted by it, even if only very slightly when you want them to be concentrating on the page's content? Would a static image be better there?

Patty23 -> RE: Site Critique Please (6/29/2001 13:08:00)

Good idea, I will take it off the individual pages.

thanks for your help!

I'm afraid the Flash is not working in NN 4.7. That usually indicates that part of the html is missing or there's a problem with the file name.

The first thing I would recommend trying is changing the file name and starting it with a lowercase letter.
