Fancy a look? - 7/3/2001 20:10:00
I think I've got the look ready for an update of my site (the content is to be edited by others); please can you let fly on how it does and doesn't work, any probs in browsers etc.

I've mostly tested with IE 5 and Opera 5 and it's generally OK with them. Photos display badly in Netscape, seeming to be affected by the css. Any ideas?

Hi,

I like the layout - quite smart I thought.

My major complaint about the site is the lack of contrast - a lot of purple for my taste. Personally I would have used another colour for the buttons and the text - green and black respectively. I'm also not overkeen on the CSS mouseover effect on the links, makes them illegible. Otherwise looks great to me and should be a winner.

Best of luck with it.

Cheers
Andy

Took a quick peek once past that killer login.

Nice site....well laid out. Like Andy, wasn't enamored with the color scheme. Seemed a bit too sterile and cold. Don't get me wrong, I'm the last guy to suggest colors as my taste is pretty bad, but if someone could suggest something to "warm it up" a bit.

All in all, nice, simple, clean, easy to navigate. How much better can it get?

A winner.

If there's a chance your viewers will be using NN 4.7 you really need to have a look at your site in it. Pieces are missing. The corner graphics show but whatever is connecting them doesn't.

The About page has a pretty good side-to-side scroll at 800x600 and the picture is covering up part of the words. For the pic, try dragging it in from the Folders view > right click > Picture properties > Appearance > Alignment > Right.

I like purple, but I think I'd play it down a little. More contrast would do it wonders.

I think I would consider taking the font size down a notch, too.

Best wishes,
Sandy
