newspaper template needed asap - 11/6/2003 19:37:44
OutFronters: I'm looking for a newspaper template, preferably with a Christian theme but not necessary. I've checked many of sites and the most popular Frontpage sites as well. I'm open any suggestions that are out there and I appreciate your attention to my situation.

What do you mean by Newspaper theme? Small print all over the background? Or just 3 or 4 side by side columns?

I hadn't even thought about the watermark design Gene mentioned. I was thinking columns. If columns is what you're looking for go to www.pixelmill.net and on the home page do a search for "religious" in front page templates. I noticed several there which might fit your needs. Check out Gene's site first though. He has some really nice templates and the price is easier on your budget than most you'll find at pixelmill. Dave

Gene: A template with most of it's navigation at top (maybe tabs) and columns on both sides for various articles I can link off of. The newspaper is black and red-background and the traditional light gray background. This is a Christian newspaper and the pages itself outside of links from articles will range from 6-10. I hope this helps you some, and thanks for responding back to my need. The site is scheduled for Dec. 1, 03. Flex

Micah: Either or concerning the price of a template. Free if possible but no more than $30 -$40. If you go to www.thetemplatestore.com, there are 3 I'm considering: 1. FP Virtual Black 2. FP Well Rounded 3. FP Well Organized If you believe that one of these may be my best choice, I'm open to your opinion. Flex

Micah: Thanks a lot for your response and I have that website you listed on my favorites. There is one under "media" that I found would be interesting, but I'm toss between the two. I'll probably go with the FP Well Organized. New question? I'm revamping my business site and I added a javascript that would calculate what the potential client wants and gives a confirmation order form to reflect want they ordered and a price. In the script it's asking for a cgi.freedback.com but that site isn't working correctly. Is there another way of gaining that information without using my email address in the "action?" Flex

RE: .gif in photoshop - 11/17/2003 1:07:35
Hello: I've recently downloaded some free templates for future use and tried to make changes to some of the images (.gif) in photoshop. What I've come across is a red film that protects it from being edited (locked on the layer menu). Is there a way I can edit the images: e.g. change the name that's on a button. A lot of the templates don't come in .psd format, so is a beginning graphics person to do? thanks, Flex

If you would like, send me the file and I will see what I can do with it as far as unlocking it. Would you like me to elaborate on that template sample and enhance it a bit for your use?
