Nothing to apologise for - everyone starts out new after all, and there is something new every day to make it even worse! [:)] A very generalised answer is that the directories (folders are what they are called in Windows) and their contents have "permissions" set for them. So for example people can view your pages but not edit them. It sometimes can be that your hosting company may have overly restrictive permissions on the directories, perhaps as the result of an upgrade, a tightening of security and so on. I don't know your urls so I don't know what yuo are hosted on - a unix/linux webserver or a windows one. The procedure is somewhat different for each but the effect is the same. You need to have the permissions to create, delete, edit, rename etc in those directories. So just ask your hosting company to check that you have all the needed permissions. The other thing that you can try is to first refesh in frontpage (click the refresh button - this clears frontpage's cache, then tools >recalculate. Then try to republish. I think this is unlikely to help, in your case but it can do no harm and has on occasion helped with this sort of thing.) JB
