Right - The new and improved B&B Site - 7/11/2001 20:22:00
Right, well here it is, now minus the splash page and those dreaded frames, and with resampled pictures and contact details on every page! Much better, so thanks a lot, though I'm sure you've plenty more for me to do. I haven't yet checked it out with varying resolutions, but will do shortly. Also, there are 2 sketches on the reservations page. This is just so I can see which works better (each is slightly different), and so 1 will go soon.

So thanks for all you help, and any more ideas welcome!

Iain

looks great, but I'm getting major problems with the top navigation bar - centre links are floating on top of each other as screen resolution decreases. (IE5)
also, at the bottom of the "background" page, you have "...email use at..."
other than that, great site!

Hello again,

Just checked out the new site...looks great. I am using IE5.

Same problem as above with navigation bar, I think. 'Us' is over/underlaying 'Rates' and 'Contact' is over on the right side but does not work....the 'Us' does however, even though it's in the middle...

I got side-to-side scrolling on the 'Rooms, Breakfast, Reservations, and Amenities' pages. That's a turnoff to many folks.

But it's looking really good overall... and the B&B looks terrific.

Have a great day...

Looking good.

Instead of using spaces for positioning, use tables instead and put your text links inside table cells. www.outfront.net/frontpagetables.htm I'm not sure why the text links are overlapping, but that should take care of that problem.

When using larger resolutions for developing, be sure to take a look in smaller window sizes once in a while to see where you may have problems in lower resolutions.

www.scrubtheweb.com ...enter your url in the green box and submit for a recommendation on your title and meta tags. You don't need to follow it to the letter, but they have some pretty good guidelines. More info on this at www.searchengines.com .

ps - www.godaddy.com for inexpensive domains ...just future reference in case you haven't discovered them yet.

Just two things; the above mentioned overlaping links, and this page
http://www.intraspin.com/glentruim/pictures.htm has a pretty good side to side scroll that can be a distraction.
I do like it much better without the intro. Just seems to fit the theme better this way.
