Hi, I have just finished updating my web site
using CSS for the first time. I went thru all the pages and removed the styles I put in using the frontpage style boxes, and applied a external style sheet. Please let me know what you think. Thanks to all in advance. The link is below.

First off, I liked your site. It made me hungry just looking at your site.
Nice placement of the navigational links. All links seem to be working.

But its a bit plain. You might want to add a background and make the picture of the grill on the homepage a little bit bigger. It looked a bit hazy in IE5. One other thing, can you move the Smoke Ring above the ICQ Webcast Panel? That way you keep it together and people dont have to scroll to get to it.

This is just my advice.

Good Luck!

What would we do without conflict?

Yes, I would have to agree with Montine. The grill needs to be larger. I would also move the reference to, I'm assuming Dale Earnheart (sp) down below the grill. Just seemed out of place up there in the corner.

I'd probably remove the built with Frontpage link. The Evil Empire has plenty of money, they dont need anymore advertising.

Good Luck with it!

Hi.

You need to check the site out in NN. I'm using NN 4.7 and your css is not working for some reason...I'm guessing the "style" information is interfering.

I wondered what that 3 was for.

It would be best if the navigation was the same on all pages.

On one page you made a reference to e-mailing you, but there was no e-mail address or link.

It could stand some livening up with more photos to illustrate what you're talking about.

Best wishes,
Sandy

Just a little info...

NN 4.7 does not support CSS. I'm not sure which version of NN does, but it is definitely later than 4.7.

Good Luck,

Excuse me? I think you might have meant "NN 4.7 does not support Frontpage generated CSS?
Except for some of the Pseudo-Classes & Pseudo-Elements NN does a pretty good job with CSS2.

My first suggestion would be to use real hardwood charcoal. There's not much wood in Kingsford, it's mostly fillers and binders 8^) If you haven't tried it yet get yourself an injector too. They are awesome!

I too would make the smoker pictures bigger after croping out everything other than the smoker and accesories. Dump the FrontPage logo and move down the #3.

Beyond that I would reduce the text size overall to 10pt.

Seems that you have more pages than necesary too. The BBQ info page doesn't really have any information about barbecue. I would put the smokers info there with small pictures of each and their explanation instead of having a page called smokers that links to 2 more pages with the descriptions.

Get the number of pages down and it will be much easier to keep the navigation consistent with links to all the major sections.

On the survey I noticed you can only choose one type of smoker. You use two types, why can't I? My favorite meat to smoke wasn't listed either. (pork loins)

Sorry I can't help with the CSS.

Gil may have hit on the css problem. Did you write your own or try to use FP's css?

FP's css is not cross-browser compatible.

Also, it does not like stuff like: style="background-color: #33CCCC; color: #008000; padding-top: 10"

NN can read the style for changing the way links look, but not much else. I would recommend going into your html and removing all styles. Keep an eye out for <style> tags that also have closing tags...</style>. Those Might be interfering. (They might not, too, but NN still doesn't like them.) You can set your background colors in Table or Cell Properties.

I'm starving. I would love some good Q about now!
