Site submissions... - 11/13/2003 2:14:21
I just recently put my company on the internet -- SPL Audio.net -- I was first posted on October 1st, 2003. I submitted the site to several free search engines. I just started finding it on the second page of most of the searches I submitted..and a couple on the first page. Should I resubmit these each month? Should I change anything for each submission? I searched for my company name and that is where I found these. Then I tried to search for some of my keywords, or page titles, and didn't have any good response. Any suggestions?

No, once is enough. actually try working on getting other sites to link to you. This will help the spider/bots find you.

First, one month is a little short on time. I've found initally it can take longer. I looked at your source code for your index page only. Your title is tight/good. Your META description is good. However please note that it will only display 172 characters in the SERPs (search engine results pages) description. On your keyword META you need to focus. It should only reflect keywords for the page in question. Your on screen content needs to beef up on what keywords you are targeting. Run it through this analyzer for some ratios of keywords VS. content (You should shoot for around 15%)...

On what the spider is seeing, it's not good (sorry):

"New Page 1 --> This page uses frames, but your browser doesn't support them."

The above is all the SE will see which will keep your rankings at a minimum. Some people will tell you using frames will stop your site from being ranked. I disagree and if done right it can be easily spidered. However I have never used frames. Here is a great article on getting frames to play nice for theSEs...

Take care,

Ok....I've done a little work to my nonframes page. I plan on making it look very similar to the frames page (minus the frames :) ).

How do I check the noframes page in my browser? Can I disable frame page views temporarily?
