.mdb needs to be repaired or isn't a database file - 11/17/2003 1:29:10
I was making a copy of a site using the "ftp browser via copy to desktop" method and my computer just happen to freeze when the database.mdb file was downloading. Enough said! can't repair it... "unrecognizeable db format" is the error i get, it seems that this computer freeze during ftp currupted it beyond repair.....
Are there certain methods i could use to get the db to open?

can't import the data into another access2k file or excel sheet, JETCOMP.exe doens't work, there must be something else I can try...?

no luck... even crossed toes. I use a form to submit to the currupted db on the windows Solo server and it worked... no errors. But can display records or open the db, both on the server and locally, deleted that cache file thingy ".ldb" file and tried all over again, no luck here, no luck there, just no luck, I do have a thought though, maybe a version newer that my access2k can open it and compact / repair it, ofcourse i'm relying on MS to have made JET engine modification in the newer versions of access, but i think its worth a shot.... the db is only 167k... anyone have access 2003 or 2004 and would like to try to help me? www.instant-canada.ca/intake.mdb (there are no passwords set and no relationships)

well i had to revert back to a cached version of the db on the server, lost a couple of records, and don't know who imputted them, so if you read this and you recently registered in a directory and your no-longer listed, sorry. //above link deleted.
