Why does google do this! - 11/19/2003 18:44:23
Hi everyone
my homepage has disappeared from google for 4 days now
and i'm confused, could anyone please give me some feedback and tell me if you think there is something about my homepage to justify why I believe I have been penalised?

You're showing a Google Page Rank of 4 out of 10 and Google shows 69 pages linking back to you. When I search "Weight Loss For All" you show up on the top. What keywords are you searching under when your page no longer shows?

the keyphrase "weight loss"
I was on page 13 which is not great but since its disappeared from there my stats are showing a real decline in homepage hits so I think its also disappeared for many other keywords too. Other ones I've checked are "weight loss help" and "weight loss nutrition".
I was reading other posts that many websites have also lost their homepages in google and that most are saying they have played by the rules but yet for these people the spammy or irrelevant sites are still there for the same keywords.
is it time to panic?

Yup, you're not alone. I am today still seeing PR and back links fluctuating. I am thinking they are testing and refining in production (A big no no in my MIS world).
I wouldn't panic, let it settle down before making changes to your site.
