CCS ??? - 11/21/2003 4:29:42
HI, i've read and read and read allot about CCS but yet I do not quite understand what it is and how it works.

Can anyone take this challenge and explain to me, I guess a bit in lay terms what and how does CCS looks like and work.

Thanks much.

It's a bit difficult to explain, but the easy way to view CSS is vreate a webpae using Microsoft Word, it automatically converts any HTML into CSS, don;t ask why it just does, you should be able to learn it at

http:///ww.w3schools.com

Sorry I can't explain anymore

Try the tutorial on this sitehttp://www.outfront.net/tutorials_02/adv_tech/css1.htm
It's a very good starting point.

It is not difficult at all so long as you remember two points:

1. - The content and structure of your html pages is controlled by the html code.

2. - The APPEARANCE of your html pages is controlled by the css code.

As well as the link that Peter (Donkey) gave you here are two excellent places to learn CSS quickly and easily.

http://codepunk.hardwar.org.uk/

http://www.w3schools.com/

I strongly recomend that you not use Microsoft Word to generate either HTML or to see how CSS works its produces massive clunky and very invalid code.

Another useful way of learning tips trips etc is to set this forum to show all postings in last 6 months and read some of the topics here.
