How do I get Files in PSP to download from my site? - 12/8/2003 15:31:47
Hi

I want to add some Paint Shop Pro Picture Frames to my site which people can download. The files are in psp format with a pfr extension.
I've got the files stored in my frames folder within Paint Shop Pro & have also saved as a jpeg to display on my site.

I wanted to do a hyperlink to the individual files, but when I upload my site the hyperlink cannot be found. Presumably because PSP in on my hard drive and not on the web server.

I've tried right clicking the image in my web and 'saving picture as' but this just opens up PSP & displays the image without an option to save it somewhere. My audience presumably will have PSP as the site relates to that program, but it's going to be pretty pointless having the images if no one can use them.

Is there anyway I can fix things so that the frames can be used by others?

I upload my web via my ISP using FrontPage Extensions.

Hope that makes some sort of sense.

Thanks in advance

Yve

Hi Yve

I think the best thing to do would be to Zip the .pfr files and place them in a folder on your site. Then on the page where you have the sample image (.jpg) right click on the image and select "Hyperlink". Browse to the Zip file for the image and select it to set the link URL. By zipping the file the user will be prompted to save the file to their HD.:)
