I need some words of wisdom - 10/3/2001 17:22:00
I'm getting ready to build this site. What I have to show so far is a graphic, www.ispe.org/boxwood.htm

The right nav menu will change from section to section.

I was going to (gulp!) use a fixed 720px table, but I'm having nightmares about that. The left nav menu + main cell = 600px, as do the main cell + right nav menu. So if horizontal scrolling is necessary, the page layout isn't too anoying.

I have seen sites where the table appears to be 100% because it fills the browser window, but as you make your window smaller, the table gets narrower only to a point and then scroll bars appear. How is that done?

Looking at this graphic, how would you contruct your tables?

Thank. This site will be over 500 pages, and I'm terrified of finding my layout doesn't work halfway through it.

Hi Carol

I tried your link but it isn't working. Can you repost it please?

I think this question would fit better over in the Beginners Forum. Could one of the Mods please move it?

Thanks
Swirl
