The Screen Calipers are a unique on-screen measurement tool, similar to a screen ruler. They resemble real life calipers in both form and function. The picture to your right is a modified screenshot of the Calipers

Thanks Eli. These are the same folks who make Color Picker and if you've ever used it you know it's a neat tool.

I've been using the Screen Calipers software now for about 2 years. For me, it worked great with Windows NT and Windows 2000 but when I used it with XP, it kept shutting down my system intermittently. I ended up removing it from my XP machine.

You were probably using a version prior to version 2. Version 2.2 is now available with custom units, transparency, skinnable interfaces and more. Let me know if you have any problems.

Thought you guys might be interested to know that version 3 of the Calipers has just been released. It now supports rotation through 360 degrees, and has a new user interface.

Thanks for the update. I will check it out.

I have been using Screen Calipers for quite awhile and can't imagine working without it.

For anyone out there who has never used this software give it a try.
