how to start a forum - 1/11/2004 18:34:23
hey I have a question on how to start a forum. My cousin whom I have been making websites for has now been trusted with making a forum for martial artists. In order to save him a few hundred dollars I would like to learn how to make one. So if anybody has any info or can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. thank you

Check out Snitz or Webwizguide, both are very easy to work with if you can do ASP on the site.

And if you can't, look at YaBB. It took me all of 20 minutes to set up.

yet another forum answer

sometimes your host offers bulletin boards, and that takes about 20 seconds to set up

Even if you don't know asp, snitz is an excellent one to use. Their support forum is excellent. Any problems setting up your forum can be answered in no time at all. And if you still need help, you can let them into your form to help you fix it.

You can also add mods to this one as well, and once again, any problems with adding them on, just go to thier forum and they will always help you out.

I found a program called Visual Comparer that helps you to make the changes to the forum when you add mods to it.

If I can do a snitz forum, ANYONE can!:):):)

Good luck!
