Trooper180 -> Internal Server Error (1/13/2004 21:12:37)

I am unable to publish to ussarlington.com using FP2002, XP Pro. Tech Support made some changes on their end which didn't correct the problem. They deleted the site and asked me to upload it again, which I am unable to. I keep getting the below error message everytime I try to publish. I have the site backed up. It has been up and running for about three years now with no problems until now. Thanks, Bruce

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@ussarlington.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. One you don;t have a index page at that the server recognises. I go to the home page: www.ussarlington.com and I get an FTP directory view of the files on the site, first thing you need to do is upload either:

index.html/index.htm/default.htm/default.html

They are the most recognised index pages.

The publishing error is most likely due to either:

Access Permissions - The account you are using has been edited by the host and the account details you are giving do not match

-or-

FP Server Extensions - Are not installed correctly or are corrupt.

The 500 Internal Server Error, are you using IIS on your local machine to test the pages before you publish them to the web? If so the problem could be copying itself over. If not the problem is at the hosts end, with their web server config.

agmr-index.html should be renamed to index.html

also looks like none of the pictures are on the server

Did you publish or upload? there is a difference.

The first thing to check is if you have a file called ".htaccess"
in the directory you're trying to read. If this file contains
instructions which the web server doesn't know how to parse, then it will generate this error message, and the simplest way to fix the problem is to remove the file or replace it with an existing file from somewhere else.

Remember to make a copy of this file before you remove it!
