First Real Live site - 10/19/2001 20:49:00
Hi all..I am tryin my hand at changing career paths...
I am currently workin on a online gaming clan site... (once i get this testing ground done I will work on a professional site )
the URl is www.clanhfc.org

I am not near Full completion of site..
However before i get finished I would like some expert advice on the layout/theme (no templates used). This way if it SUCKS i can change...even though I have absolutely no graphic skillz (as u can see)

Thnks In advance..
Ez

PS- I am also hosting the site..Since thats more my area of expertise

Hi Ez,

Ditto to the above. I'm on a very fast connection, and gave up after 30 seconds. Got nothing at all...

Rule number 1, homepage has to load quickly.

Sorry

I waited for nearly 2 minutes on a cable modem and finally got a "This page cannot be displayed" DNS error. Are you sure you didn't make a typo in your url? I found a site at www.clanfc.org is that it?

You may have already changed the hosting but it comes up fine for me on DSL.

No it is still hosted on my DSL..

I just didn't realize that IIS had needed to be rebooted :/

Restarting service w/o a reboot seemed fine on my end...but to everyone else it was unavailable

EZ,
It opened fine for me in NN4.7 but I had a really difficult time getting rid of the java script popup.

Be interesting to see if other folks have trouble in 4.7. there must be some reason Gil got the blank screen.

Came right up for me in NN 4.7 and I didn't see any javascript popup. In IE, the resolution makes for a horizontal scroll at my resolution of 800X600. Being told what screen resolution and browser I have to use is annoying. Telling me to click if I'm a Netscape user and then sending me to the Microsoft site is even more annoying.

You have a couple of different fonts showing up on your pages. Looks like Times at the top of the first page and verdana at the bottom.

Other than that, it looks good.

Good luck!

LMAO Swirl... I forgot to fix that netscape link It was truly just a joke..

I will look into fonts..
I was using a "special font" I just didnt realize it wouldnt show that font to all on the site..(if i want to use it I have to make it pics )

Thnks

Since you put your site in frames, the top nav bar is cut in half. Only the top half shows.

It feels rather claustrophobic, too. Personally, I liked it better before frames.
