Picture editor - 1/18/2004 10:49:42
Hello,

I've been using fp 2000 for a while now,
something wierd happened to my ability
to view images in fp and ie. They are
very blurry and I just don't know what
happened.

If i view any image with a graphics program
like image expert or lview or paintshop,
the image is crystal clear.

When i'm editing my web site with fp, if i
double click on an image i get this
error message "no picture editor configured"

i've searched the fp help and can't figure
this out. Any suggestions?

Hi Steve,

Go to TOOLS>Options>Configure Editors and scroll down in that dialogue box till you get to JPG and GIF. Click on MODIFY (or ADD) and enter the path to the editor you want to use.

When you prep your photo for FP then enter it into FP and go to publish it, FP will compress it further which may result in the blur you talk about. When you publish the photos a dialogue box will pop up asking you if you want to save the photo. I can't remember the exact dialog but in that box which pops up you can specify that FP not compress your photo any further. That usually is the fix.

Dave
