Google danced again! - 1/24/2004 22:42:40
Google must have done another major dance in the past few days. My best keyword took a two place hit. Fortunately I'm still on the first page.
One thing really odd is that the front runners don't seem to have any content relating to the keywords. I thought the latest round by Google was supposed to focus on content?

I wouldn't call a two place shift on your site a major algorithm change, that could be caused by a number of reasons, perhaps two sites jumped ahead of you because they optimized their site or something...I haven't read anything about a google change either.... but maybe someone else here knows something I don't.

No, something weird deffinitely happened.
One of my websites went from 3rd place to "not in the first 100!?!?!"
WOW? What is going on?

On the first google go-round I dropped from 11th to 21st to 51st.

I bottomed on 71st and then climbed back up to 15th. I am checking right now to see where I am today.

Uh oh, this is weird. I've been listed first, second or third on page one for the past year or so, even after the previous google changes. And today, I'm not listed within the first 200 (I quit looking). Yikes! :)

well I wouldn't stress about it now if I were you...wait to see where all the pieces fall, and then try to pick them up.
