FP2000 Server Extensions problem - 2/8/2001 20:02:00
HelpI have a problem with FP2000 server extensions. I have one user who updates/overrights many files. Every once in a while the files get "stuck" he cannot delete/rename/move the file or the directory above it. It says the file is in use. I also cannot do anything to the file unless I stop the web services, delete the file, and start the web services. I can easily duplicate the problem by going into frontpage right click, copy a file and paste it into another directory, and then paste it again into the same directory, I get prompted to overwrite then I get "An error occurred accessing your Frontpage web... contact your webmaster..." I was able to stop the problem by setting the FP extensions performance "In memory document cache" to 0, this caused other problems though, a lot of timeouts and recalculating hyperlinks would no longer work. I can recreate this error on a test box running IIS 5.0 with FP2000 server extensions but not on II 4.0 using fp98 server extensions. I have reinstalled FP2000 to no avail. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You Scott
