asp depicted as code - 2/15/2001 13:57:00
My asp page is opening on my site like it is in html view in FP. Instead of the form (which is a feedback form that I send to a DBase)opening, a page opens with the source code showing. It worked fine yesterday. I've published a few times to my server but have done nothing to the asp pages. My edits and publishing have been fairly minor on other pages. I am at a loss.

I apologize!! This is one of those times you don't see the forest through the trees. Bear with me and please don't judge me too harshly. I realized my problem when I tested the site on someone elses computer and it worked fine.
I was testing a lower screen resolution on my monitor for my site and when you do that all your shorcuts squeeze down into a smaller area of the screen. When I resumed my normal resolution and moved my shortcuts back to where I normally had them on my desktop, I swapped the two that point to the server site and to my site on "MY" computer (I really ought to rename them obvious different names ay?). I kept bringing up the site on my computer and the asp pages were opening without a server, just as if you would doubleclick them in your draft site.
I hope I'm making sense.
I come to this site 'Outfront' a lot and have found 99% of my questions have been answered previously by the various forums. This is an invaluable resource for me as I am self-taught and no one else in the company uses FP. You are my collection of experts. By posting this, if I can save just one person from making this simple mistake that I did, I will be happy.

I know I will, again, start looking for the small things first. A person gets a little confidence and forgets that "we all make mistakes, big and small" I was ready to go yell at the NS people. I am truly humbled...once again Thanks for letting me ramble and thanks for this resource.

It sounds like an opening tag "<%" has been missed somewhere?

Perhaps a URL to check as well?

Thanks for the suggestion Spooky! It turns out I was opening the .asp located on my own computer without a web server instead of the .asp on my working intranet site on the web server. When the .asp doesn't have the web server to use, it opens with all of it's code hanging out...so-to-speak(spl?). It opens as if in HTML view. Everything is working fine now.

Thanks again!
