%2520 errors in URL's after windows 2000 upgrade - Expe... - 2/20/2001 16:44:00
Hi folks,I am having a serious prob. When any web page on my intranet is pulled up in a browser, now the URL either extra %25 thrown in where the %20's should be (for spaces) and sometimes some extra %2f's are thrown in at the end of the URL. This makes the browser come up with either a 400 or 500 error, since the pages are'nt called correctly. this started happening after a windows 2000 upgrade. I have reinstalled frontpage extensions and office extensions to no avail... there is no help on the MS website. Please help me out! Thanks

Mmmmm....NEVER use spaces in your URL's !!! I would suggest fixing all the URL's with spaces. You can use _ Underscore instead of spaces. Rian ------------------ Webmaster SR Web Creators http://www.srwebcreators.com ___________________________ "Error reading FAT table...Try Skinny one? (Y/N)"

Ryan, that is not an option at this point. I am fixing the issue. I did not build the site. Cannot redo it now. Besides. This was never an issue before, so it should be able to be fixed. Thanks.

Well, no it shouldn't be able to be fixed - spaces are no valid in URL's. You may find a "hack" to work for now, but the ONLY FIX for the issue is remove all spaces from the URLs ------------------ Gil Harvey The Host Factory Resellers are our speciality [This message has been edited by Gil (edited 02-20-2001).]
